Gabriela Hernandez is a designer and art director based in El Paso, Texas. She earned her BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Texas at El Paso and an MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art. Her career has been defined by a commitment to clarity and imagination, with work that often blends precision with humor to spark genuine connections with audiences. 

Hernandez’s work has garnered awards and accolades from institutions including AIGA, Art Directors Club, Clio Awards, Communication Arts, Dieline Awards, Graphis, How Design Awards, Print, Society of Publication Designers, and the Emmy Awards. Her projects reflect her unique ability to move fluidly between brand systems, publication design, and art direction. Her approach to design is rooted in play. She believes that humor, when used thoughtfully, can disarm and invite, creating a sense of openness that allows ideas to resonate more deeply. Hernandez draws inspiration from a place where cultures overlap and perspectives shift constantly. That background has shaped her instinct for storytelling and her ability to design across contexts without losing authenticity.
